Arm The Animals Tee Brand Review.

Arm The Animals

Arm The Animals Tee Brand is a charitable business that supports Animal Rights. Meaning that a portion of the proceeds goes to various charities supporting that cause.

As for the Print Quality, the shirts and fleece that we have are printed slightly above the average Direct To Garment digital prints and are on par with ones that you would find at sites such Redbubble.

This is a print-to-order type of business so the turnaround time is usually great. Here is their shipping policy in their own words:

Shipping Policy

"We run most online orders on a “print to order basis” and we begin fulfillment as soon as possible. We buy blanks, produce, QC, and ship every day of the week and we can turn most orders in 5-7 business days. We are always working on this process to make it faster and more efficient and each quarter, we can get our orders out a day or two quicker. "

Arm The Animals Tee Brand Interview:

How did Arm The Animals Tee Brand get started and what is your brand all about?

Arm The Animals was born from tragedy in 2010 as an attempt to express the inexpressible. Created following the untimely death of my sister (who a lifelong animal advocate and “pet parent” to a dozen rescues), Arm The Animals would serve as a living tribute and means of carrying on a legacy that was ended too soon. It all started as an emotional reaction and a hobby, but thankfully, it took and has evolved into the brand you see today.

What are the ATA ideals?

Our ideals are really simple: Make killer tees and make an impact on the welfare of as many animals in need as possible. We want to be the voice of people out there who are not extremists, but truly care about animal welfare. We like to send a strong message via imagery and up to this point, we think we have done a good job of that. Charitable cause are really personal and subjective, but we see millions of animals in need and we just want to help as best we can. Our company motto is, “Speak for the Speechless & Defend the Defenseless”, so that’s the basic credo all of our designs speak to.

Who designs the tees?

95% of all designs are done in house and by myself or RJ Ochoa. We try to do as much in-house as possible, but about 2 years ago, we began reaching out and using a small network of artists from around the world. We have released items featuring art from Thailand, The Philippines Australia, The UAE, Ukraine and more. We really like the idea of getting a new, “Global take” on our concepts, which can be tough to do from inside the company. We have also had guest artists come and work in the office with us for weeks at a time; Franz Garcia (http://franzdg.blogspot.com/) & Tony Koehl (http://www.sketchthesoul.com/featured/they-died-not-knowing-tony-koehl.html) made major contributions to our releases over the past 2 years in particular.

What inspires the tees?

We have been inspired by making an impact on the general welfare of animals, but certain instances also influence us. For example, when Cecil the lion was killed last year, it inspired a hugely successful design that raised over $12,000 for the ZCTF, who patrols the area where Cecil was killed. Originally, ATA started as just a hobby to help cat/dog shelters and it has now mushroomed into covering all animals of all types. So many species are facing extinction and plight that there is no shortage of inspiration and when it all comes together, like it did with Cecil, the results are amazing!

How would you classify the tees?

We’re actually proud that there is no clear classification for our tees; I mean, they are graphic tees, but you can’t simply say they are high fashion, or hipster, or beach life inspired or political, etc. To us, they are all that… Animal welfare cuts across every demographic on the planet, so we’re lucky to be able to appeal to so many different kinds of people. This isn’t easy, but it is a good problem to have in our estimation.

When we researched animal welfare tees back in 2010 when we started the company - all we found was kittens and butterflies, or blood and guts - with nothing in between for the every man or every woman out there. We wanted to make tees for people who are pissed and care about animals and want to show it - so that’s what we attempted to do. We have had any kind of person you could imagine support us and have even seen three generations of a family all buy a different shirts from us at an event. That’s something special and it’s not something a ton of brands can pull off.

Ript Apparel Tee Brand Review

Ript Apparel

RIPT Apparel sells three new and unique pop culture designs every day that can be purchased on tees, hoodies, posters, coasters, and much more. Each design lives for only 36 hours and starts at just $14.00! We also offer many designs exclusive to RIPT Apparel, a month-long featured artist store, an interactive blog and a wide variety of relevant items. We bring people together through pop culture apparel and provide the best daily destination for fun, nostalgic, limited edition artwork. RIPT Apparel: The Best Daily Pop Culture Tees.

Ript Apparel established in 2009, is one of the first Limited Edition Tshirt sites and one of the most popular. The tees that I have ordered and worn regularly over the past 3 years have normal fading and cracking, having been machine washed and dried inside out. Currently, they sell 3 pop-culture-themed designs at a time starting at $14 apiece for 36 (used to be 24) hours only. Price has gone up since their early days. They are now my favorite Limited Edition Shirt company simply for all of the exclusives that they offer (updated 5/31/17).

This is a pre-order type of business so the wait time for an order to ship is within 2 business days after the sale. Perhaps up to a week if higher than expected sales or holidays cause delays. They use UPS Mail for domestic orders. International orders may take 1 to 2 months to arrive after leaving their warehouse.

Also, people can even submit their own artwork to be considered for print and profit. Weekly on Wednesday's, check back to the homepage for 12 fresh new designs - ALL $7.00 OFF when you use code "CHOICE"

TeePublic Vs NeatoShop Closeups

Print Comparison: Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic 2021.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic DTG Print Quality Comparison. I ordered these particular samples in this comparison myself. As a disclaimer, I will state that I am an affiliate of NeatoShop and TeePublic. I used to be affiliated with Redbubble. Redbubble bought BustedTees/Teepublic a few years ago. Their business models utilize regional contracted print shops to fulfill their orders. Their quality varies and is luck of the draw. NeatoShop is all done in-house from Oregon and their quality is consistent.

The images are taken directly from my Samsung NX500 camera. No editing of the tone or contrast or color. Even though Auto Tone with Auto Contrast seems to look truer to life to my eyes. Also, my camera thinks it's 2015 for some reason and I have yet to find the setting to change it. Never used or needed the function. I assure you that these photos were taken mid-Sept 2021.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic 2021.

Redbubble uses the Direct to Garment printing technique only and does not have Screen Printing. While their tees are usually slightly above the industry average for DTG quality they do not surpass all of their DTG competitors. This sample is not great but it is not the worst that I have seen from Redbubble. Most of the time you can usually find the same pop culture designs elsewhere such as NeatoShop, but they do have artsy tees as well that may not be available anywhere else. That is the niche advantage of shopping at Redbubble. Their Pop Culture tees are dwindling much like TeePublic.

NeatoShop does not have Screen Printed shirts as they specialize in Direct To Garment printing only. Their DTG printed T-shirts are the best in the Print On Demand industry to date that I have personally seen.

TeePublic uses the Direct to Garment printing technique only and does not have Screen Printing. While their tees are usually slightly above the industry average for DTG quality they do not surpass all of their DTG competitors. This tee looks better than samples from the past. In the past, Items I have received around Christmas time appear to have been made of lower quality to keep up with the commercial demand of the holiday. So low that the designs washed off after a few loads of laundry. Since this tee was ordered closer to Labor Day that should not be an issue. This Tee appears to be of higher quality than anything I have received from them in the past. TeePublic is a mix of niches but the Pop Culture stuff seems to be disappearing. At least the unlicensed stuff.

About The Designs

It used to be that most of the designs that you see on the Limited Edition Shirt-of-the-Day type sites (featured on the TeeFetch homepage) could be found at these three sites eventually. If you are looking for the Pop Culture Niche then NeatoShop is your best bet.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic Side by Side Comparisons 2021.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic

Here are the Thumbnails of the artwork for all three sites.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic 2021 Rundown

All three of the Tee blanks were the basic Classic Black tees from each company. Redbubble uses Gildan, NeatoShop uses NextLevel Apparel, and TeePublic uses Bella Canvas.

Third Place

Redbubble came in third place for this print. It is better than what some POD companies provide but it is not the level it should be in 2021. The colors are correct and true to their thumbnail but appear to be watered down and muted in comparison to both the NeatoShop and the TeePublic printed versions. This is not only due to not adjusting the contrast but also because they do not apply as much ink. Making their print much lower quality than the other two brands. I've had both better and worse prints from Redbubble. Let's call this average. 3 Stars. I won't waste our time with more Redbubble comparison images in this review.

Second Place

For second place, I'd give it to TeePublic. This print is very good. Nice contrast, and vibrant color. Not really anything to complain about at all. It is a lower resolution image and therefore a bit blurrier but the ink is good. It is also a slightly larger print. The enlargement of the lower resolution resulted in blurriness. They did adjust the contrast compared to their thumbnail. It's the best that I have received from them. There is a blotchy spot and missing "pixels" here and there but nothing major. Let's say 4.5 Stars.

First Place

For the first place, that leaves NeatoShop. This print is Excellent. Look closely at the highlights on the lips and the overall contrast. They also adjusted the contrast compared to their thumbnail. While the colors are more vivid and bolder, that contrast gives it a visual edge. A crisp higher resolution image results in a clean and clear print. TeePublic's highlights are more subtle due to blurriness whereas NeatoShop is more accented. I also prefer the Green on the weapon more as it is closer to the military Drab Green. There is a missing "pixel" but nothing blotchy and nothing major. This is a universal issue with all printers and brands out there. Unusual for NeatoShop. Regardless, let's give this print a solid 5 stars.

NeatoShop Vs TeePublic Side By Side

TeePublic Vs NeatoShop Closeups

It was a tough choice deciding between NeatoShop and TeePublic this time. It was almost a tie.

Imperfections and Defects Explained.

To explain further, the missing pixel(s) is basically a shirt defect as opposed to a print defect. There go, it's not easy to spot that during production, because the defect almost always occurs AFTER the shirt arrives at the customer's house, or even after the shirt is laundered. Therefore, I don't hold this against any brand.

Basically, what happens is there's a small cotton speck that adheres to the surface of the shirt. So when the shirt is printed, the ink adheres to the surface of the speck, not the shirt. When the shirt is jostled inside the poly mailer envelope (or after the shirt is washed), the speck detached from the shirt and you get a blank spot where that speck used to be. As you can see, the speck can be quite small so it's tough to see.

As for blotches, said specks could roll while wet imprinting on the tee. Also, in the worst cases, the printer nozzles clog up and they can spit out a clump randomly onto the shirt as parts move through the process. Temperature fluctuations and other unforeseen things can even contribute to this, not just the lack of proper maintenance. I wouldn't complain about this personally. As many shirts as I get and as rare as this is. It happens. In other words, even the government allows a certain amount of rat hair in food.

If there is a true defect, NeatoShop will replace the tee. Customer satisfaction is their main priority. Redbubble ceases to impress me with its current setup. When they first came out they were the top dog. TeePublic will work with you if certain conditions are being met.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop Vs TeePublic 2021 Conclusion.

Skip Redbubble, their prints aren't worth the money. Especially, if you can get the design at NeatoShop. Redbubble's sublimated prints should still be okay. And for Pop Culture-based designs don't last on their site long due to various legal issues such as DMCA notices.

If print quality matters to you here are the decisive points.
If bright Greens are more important than bright Reds for your designs and taste go with TeePublic. If you prefer crisp images with brighter and bolder Reds instead of bright and bolder Greens go with NeatoShop. I personally prefer NeatoShop.

I rate DTG (digital Direct To Garment) on its own merits and I do not compare it to Screen Printing which is also based on its own merits. Both printing methods have their pros and cons. This one has been a DTG Brand Vs DTG Brand Vs DTG Brand print quality review.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop 2021 Rundown

Both of the Tee blanks were the basic Classic Black tees from each company. NeatoShop uses NextLevel Apparel and Redbubble uses Gildan.

Also NeatoShop printed the design better and slightly larger. NeatoShop also wins for ink coverage and thickness (it is even smoother). All this means that ultimately NeatoShop's print should last longer if washed and dried properly. The Reds look better on NeatoShop's version even though Redbubble's Reds have improved greatly over the years. The overall adjustment of colors both Red and White ( two extremes) are better on NeatoShop's as well as the White is much brighter than Redbubble's. Redbubble's print looks like it has pretreatment chemicals around it greying out the Black fabric. Since these comparison photos, I have washed the Redbubble one twice and that Greyish film surrounds the image still boxes in the design. It doesn't look like it is going to wash off. This is the first time I have ever had that issue.

Redbubble Print Fail
Above you can clearly see the Greyish frame in the print area which I am hoping is pretreatment. It hasn't washed off. Ignore the two sweat drops in the upper left. I also as you see got the upper left corner wet to try to get the stuff off and the tee is still damp. That should darken the fabric much more than it did. That pretreatment is on thick.

True to life, NeatoShop matches the design thumbnail. The Redbubble's sample as stated you can clearly see it is muted a lot in comparison to their own thumbnail mostly because of the issue with the pretreatment, either that or they printed this design with a nontransparent background. My money is on the pretreatment. Both brands have Black tees to work with here so the differences are due to the brand of Printers, the Printing Technique & Skill, any chemicals used, and the Inks themselves.

Redbubble Vs NeatoShop 2021 Conclusion.

This is below average for a Redbubble print. Their stuff is always muted in comparison to their thumbnails. I usually rate their stuff 3.5 stars (3 being average). I'd rate this a big fat 0 since the color, ink thickness, ink coverage and sizing isn't as good as it is on NeatoShop's version. But they are NO better than Zazzle and Cafepress with this sample.

Neatoshop is always consistent with their DTG printing & quality control, as a result so far I've always rated their printing 5 out of 5 stars. Their prints are never muted compared to their thumbnails. This is no exception. Their Reds printed better still. As stated this tee will outlast the Redbubble version due to higher ink concentration and ink thickness.

Overall, Redbubble prints aren't worth the money if you can get the design at NeatoShop. Their sublimated prints should still be okay. And for Pop Culture-based designs they don't last on their site long due to various legal issues such as DMCA notices.

I rate DTG (digital Direct To Garment) on its own merits and I do not compare it to Screen Printing which is also based on its own merits. Both printing methods have their pros and cons. This has been a DTG vs DTG Brand Vs Brand print quality review.

Mon Chere by Jonathan Grimm Art

Mon Chere Tee Review.

The Mon Chere tee design with Angelica Houston as Morticia snipping her stemmed roses.

The concept is based on her scene in the Addams Family movie from the 90's. It's little creepy and kooky but it fits in nicely around Halloween. The one and only Morticia Addams elegant and goth as always.

As for the artwork it is a nice portrait. Firstly, there is some fine detailed cross-hatching going on with the shading. So you know it is hand drawn. Jonathan has got skill. Secondly, the contrast of the bright Rose Red on the rose and finger nails offers a great "Sin City" style contrast. Thirdly, the way that Morticia is melding with the shadows is like that of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody Album Cover.

This is a great tee for any Addams Family fan. .

The DOGFATHER T-shirt Design Review.

The Enter The Dogfather T-shirt design is an excellent mash up of The Godfather and Futurama.

The concept is hits people right in the feels with Fry's loyal and loving mutt Seymour taking the place of the Godfather's kitty. Therefore, with Fry taking the place of the Godfather one can't help but chuckle and want to cry at the same time. For anyone that hasn't seen the referenced Futurama Episode, check out the episode entitled Jurassic Bark. The dyslexic use of the word Dog rather than God works great too on another comedic level.

The Godfather

As for the artwork. It's tight. Firstly, the almost black and white tone is a perfect tribute for the Godfather's original image (shown above). The shading, the highlights, all top notch. Secondly, the seriously expressions and tone given to Fry is hilarious in its own right. But as mentioned earlier, the design elements bring a slew of mixed emotions making it bittersweet. Considering that Fry's character is more of the Slapstick type, this is a feat in and of itself. Thirdly, Having the dog's tongue stick out as bright Red really adds emphasis to Seymour and his emotion. Almost animating the t-shirt.

Finally, it is as if Matt Groening and crew designed this themselves. They were always masterfully pulling on the audience's heart strings. This design is that good in terms of art and concept. A great tee for anyone who likes the dog that waited, especially.

Enter The Burtons tee Design by DAObiwan

Enter The Burtons T-shirt Design Review.

The Enter The Burtons T-shirt design is for the diehard Tim Burton fans.

The concept is uniting the most popular and beloved Burton characters into one t-shirt. Keeping with the common theme storytelling a ghostly vibe.

As for the artwork. To begin with, Frankenweenie is at the very bottom. Above him, Beetlejuice is holding out his hands. He is wearing his trademark black and white tuxedo and also there are two black and white Saturn sandworms in his hands. Next, there is Edward Scissorhands dressed in all black. Then Jack Skellington is also in black attire above him. He is holding his fist like he wants to fight. Lastly, the Corpse Bride is staring over the abyss at the top of the design. The colors for the background are fading purple and blue. All of these storytelling elements are trapped into the creepy gate in rich details. All true to Tim Burton's style and original character designs.

Pannucis Express T-shirt design by RyanAstle NeatoShop Thumbnail

Panucci’s Express Tee by RyanAstle Design Review.

The Panucci's Express tee design is for the true Futurama fans.

For starters, the concept is that the logo of Planet Express is reworked retrospectively into a logo for Panucci's Pizza featuring Fry and Seymour instead of Old Bessie. Also, it might even be a slight nod to E.T. as well. Since the bike is moving up at an angle. But then again, so does Old Bessie. On another note, there is a design circulating with the same graphic with the text Panucci's Pizza sold The Dude's Threads and some others. Therefore, I'm not scoring for originality or creativity. But rather the concept alone. Not to mention the feels this tee brings.

Planet Express Logo

As for the artwork... Firstly, the style is straight up Futurama's style. So no real creative juices there either. However, the use of the meta use of a one Futurama logo with another episode reference from Jurassic Bark in the "pastorama" is cleverly done. But no more so than the "Panucci's Pizza" version. Secondly, the printed colors are bold and simple and work with any fabric color choice. Which is true to the original Planet Express logo. Lastly, negative line work is good, easily separating the elements of the dog and the bike's rear rack elements. Whoever designed it.

This Panucci's Express T-shirt will make a nice gift for the Futurama fans.

Wear this tee to Comic-Cons and when craving pizza.

Stampede T-shirt Design by ADHO1982 Thumbnail

Stampede Tee by ADHO1982 Design Review.

The Stampede tee design is for the Trigun fans that also enjoy the music of The Beatles.

The concept is that the characters of Trigun pose as the band mates of the Beatles while walking across Abbey Road, just like the album cover.

As for the artwork... Firstly, the style is straight up Trigun. Secondly, the colors are more muddy and fit the theme of an old western well. Of course, one of the characters should had been barefoot for a direct tribute to the Beatles. Thirdly, the shading on the characters is consistent. Personally, I would not had put a gun in Vash's hand sense he prefers peace but it works for this design. Lastly, it is instantly recognizable for either franchise.

This Stampede Ringspun T-shirt will make a nice gift for the Trigun fans.

Wear this tee to Comic-Cons and salons.

Vegan AF T-shirt Design by VeganDawn

VEGAN AF T-shirt by VeganDawn Design Review.

VEGAN AF tee design is the words "Vegan AF" stylized as a plant in a retro baseball sports team font.

The concept of this design is showing the power of a plant based lifestyle while being ethical. There really is not much to say about this concept or the artwork. It is as simple and straightforward as a tee of this type can get. Art, message, and all.
As for the artwork it is based off retro sports team logos. Team Vegan is the same design which this one is based on without the AF. Also by VeganDawn. Firstly, it has a plant with green stem and a green leaf. Secondly, the thread through needle eye effect is the main nod to the retro baseball theme as is the font itself. Thirdly, The AF letter on the VEGAN emphasizing how committed one is to the lifestyle. Lastly, this is bold way of supporting the cause in a non-pushy way. Personally, I love this shirt and what it really means to me. I got the black t-shirt because everyone looks good in black. True animal lovers and will also love this design.

This T-Shirt is a wonderful gift to give to dedicated vegans.
As for the print, It turned out great as always from Neatoshop. I cannot recommended them enough.
