The Super Starry Night tee design is for the Super Mario Bros. fans that enjoy the art of Vincent van Gogh.

The concept is to combine Invincible Stars with the Starry Night sky which is a neat backdrop for the Mushroom Kingdom. This is one of the better Starry Night parodies and mash ups and if you've been paying attention to this blog you may have seen some reviewed already. This one in particular just fits, like it was meant to be. The redoing of classic paintings by adding modern pop culture twists is a trend that is on the rise in the T-shirt community.

As for the artwork, the style is emulating a odd blend of Nintendo with Vincent van Gogh's obviously with the broad stroke swirls. The colors are vibrant and the shading is flawless. Black fabric is the better choice in this case as it helps all the colors to pop with much greater contrast. Mario seems like he found peace while staring at the night sky. Although he is probably just trying to figure out how to get the stars and gain their power. Most of his body utilizes the negative space which is a sign of strong artistic skills. That and this mashup like the Starry Wars one may be based off of Starry Night but it isn't an exact copy like many of the other variants out there.

This Super Starry Night tee will make a nice gift for the Mario and Nintendo fans.

Bottom Line

The products and retailer Neatoshop are definitely high quality with a better price than most of the other Print On Demand services ($15.95 – $19.95 range for Tees, $29.95 for Long Sleeves, $45-50 for Hoodies). Most of the designs can be found elsewhere but the color and print quality will be weak in comparison. The brand of blanks that they use are Hanes and Next Level from the samples that I’ve seen, they have others depending on the color and style. It is nice to have fabric color options as each design usually has a few choices to choose from, so that is a major plus. There are plenty of sizes and styles as well. As for the printing method, they use the Digital Print or Direct To Garment (DTG) technique. Their methods with their printer are as close as possible to the traditional Screen Printed results. This means that their ink is laid on thick and their ink colors are bold and not muted like it is at most of their Print On Demand competitors. That is a big deal so the print method gets a 5 star rating, especially when taking the price into consideration. We feel that this Super Starry Night Tee is a worthy purchase and therefore should not result in any buyer’s remorse.
