The Wicked tee design based on the musical Wicked features the Wicked Witch of the West holding a crystal ball with a flying monkey on her head.

TheĀ Wicked tee design is for The Wizard of Oz and Wicked fans.

The concept is to show the beauty of one of the most notorious villains the Wicked Witch of the West. Shown here with a cute version of a flying monkey.

From the Artist Tell us a bit about this design and the message or meaning you're trying to convey. I have to admit, I have not seen the play because I'm not one for musicals. But the book captivated me....how they took one of the most notorious villains of all time and flipped your perception of her by telling her side. I guess I just wanted to make a design that captured her beauty. Who are you? Just a dude who likes beer, cats and drawing.......and absolute power. Any shout outs? ....Where my flying monkeys at??

As for the artwork, the colors are appropriate for Elphaba Thropp aka the Wicked Witch of the West. It has complete tonal shading with great details. Fantastic considering the tricky lighting with the light background and the glow of scrying orb (also known as a crystal ball). Elphaba is shown before the ugliness of evil takes it's toll and Tim captured her beauty with flying monkey colors. Green, Yellow, White and what looks like a Midnight Blue to be exact but it seems like a full spectrum with the way that they were used. The layout couldn't be better as it is a rare combination of being cute, sexy and sophisticated.

This design is available on kids' tees too.

The print turned out very nice this time.

Is available on T-shirts. Navy Blue, Black, Kelly Green are the only fabric color options and they are good choices as they are witchy colors which match the theme of the design. The review breakdown is as follows:

Bottom Line

The Products and retailer TeeFury are very high quality at fantastic prices starting at $11 for the Limited Edition Screen Printed tees and $20 – 22 for the Print On Demand shirts. As for the tees, the blanks are very comfortable, they are regular fit and feel like the “Hanes Beefy” heavy weight tees. The fabric material is 100% Combed Ringspun Cotton and it is as durable as an organic material can be. The brand of blanks are Alstyle and Tultex.

As for sizing, the Big and Tall (bigger than 3XL) tend to miss out on some great deals.

As for the printing method, they use the Direct to Garment (DTG) Digital Printing technique for their Collections (with the exception of a few) and Gallery tees. But it is better than average Digital Printing, definitely on the top 5 for P.O.D. brands. They got good ink coverage. The color is good. The ink thickness is average. To make the designs last, wash the tees inside-out (especially for the first wash) to avoid any harmful interaction with the inks during the washing and drying process. To avoid fabric shrinkage and possible design flaking, air or hang dry rather than use a machine dryer.

They usually offer 2 or 3 fabric color choices per tee. Sometimes more choices would be better.

Overall, we feel that this Wicked Tee is a worthy purchase and therefore should not result in any buyer’s remorse.
