Earthient is a Green company that has nature lover designs that range from realism and surrealism to absract. They have screen printed and sublimated All Over Prints). 5% of the purchase price of every product will be donated to the Environmental Defense Fund. Plus, for every item you purchase, Earthient will plant a tree through the Nation Forest Foundation, at no extra cost to you.

As for the Print Quality, the screen prints are clean and bold, and the All Over Prints (sublimated) are vibrant and flawless. The sublimated prints the ink has great coverage and absorbtion, though along the seams there may be missed gaps but that is normal for this technique and really not that noticeable. I didn't notice any at all. If the apparel is washed inside out in cold water with mild detergent (No Bleach or Harsh Chemicals) and allowed to air dry then the designs should last years.

The All Over Prints are printed on 96% polyester/4% elastane fabric. It is lighter than cotton and extremely soft and smooth.

And for the sizing (All Over Prints, they tend to run larger than anticipated ( which is nothing new in the sublimated clothing industry) and the Screen Printed fit as expected. Tees ranging from XS to 4XL depending on the type.

Earthient Interview:

How did Earthient get started and what is your brand all about?

I started Earthient in 2017 from a pretty simple idea. I'm addicted to tees and buy way more than I need, but I really try to be mindful of the environment as much as possible. It occurred to me that most of the tees I bought were a bit of a mystery, I had no idea where they were from, who manufactured them, just that I liked the design. I thought there had to be a better way, so I began researching shirt manufacturers that are committed to social and environmental standards and decided to try to start a brand that could do better. We want to be a company that can make a difference no matter how small, instead of a corporation sacrificing values for profits.

What are the Earthient ideals?

We want to try to make our products a little bit better for you and the planet, so we have a couple of rules we follow: we use recyclable and biodegradable bags in shipping, water-based and eco-friendly inks in printing, only print on shirts from producers that meet social and environmental standards and all tees (except for all-over print designs) are made of 100% combed and ring-spun cotton.

For every product sold, we plant a tree through the National Forest Foundation to help fight deforestation where it is needed in America’s forests and wetlands. Also 5% of the purchase price of every product sold is donated to the Environmental Defense Fund.

Who designs the tees?

I design the tees as much as I can. I’m not the most artistically inclined so if I have a design idea that’s a bit out of my ability, I will find artists that can help reach that look.

What inspires the tees?

All of our tees are inspired by the world around us, there’s just so much inspiration out there. Some of our tees are just scenes from nature we find beautiful, some are more idealistic, like a factory putting flowers into the atmosphere instead of pollution, a little girl breathing life back into the world, or just minimalist designs encouraging you to get out and explore. Some of our favorites are our fantasy Ocean/Space designs. Like our Birth of a Nebula tee of an octopus’ ink spray forming a nebula or the Earth as a hot air balloon floating through space. There’s just so much natural beauty out there.

How would you classify the tees/designs?

We have a bit of an assortment of designs to try to capture a variety of tastes. Some are minimalist or geometric, some are realistic looking, some are more artistic. We just choose styles that we think best captures the idea we want to share.

The Winds of Autumn features a solemn tree, losing its orange leaves. It is accompanied by a fox and owl. This design is ideal for people who love fall, animals and nature.

The concept is all about the season, and the changes that come about. First, you will notice the leaves are floating in the wind, and the tree is standing proud. Next comes the fox, the same color as the fallen leaves anticipates the natural camouflage. Finally, as for the horned owl, it has claimed its territory.

As for the artwork, it is a watercolor design. The coloring is beautiful. Especially the Orange which has great contrast.

The chameleon image is super detailed and of photograph quality. The chameleon is shown climbing the tee itself and extending its tongue to snag an insect.

The artwork itself is awesome. The combined effects of the wrinkles and drag on the fabric as wel las the drop shadow give the 3D illusion of the chameleon actually being on the tee. Super realistic saliva drops on the tongue and hyper coloring on the chameleon's skin make this tee stand out rather than blend in (Do you see what I did there?) from the typical animal tee.

This is a great nature shirt to wear anywhere.

The Under a Banana-shaped Moon tee design is for the Despicable Me Minion fans out there.

The concept is simply having two excited minions point out the similarities between the shape of a banana and a crescent moon.

As for the artwork, it is solid through and through. Using the fabric color for the bulk of the design as a majority of the characters's bodies are in the dark. Minimalists colors consisting of White, Blue and Yellow are used as highlights to give shape to the characters and ground. It is actually more difficult to illustrate than one would think. It is one of the best Minion tees that I have come across. It doesn't show their faces so it implies rather than infringes on intellectual property rights. As a proper parody should.

This is a cute and funny tee that fans of the Despicable Me franchise would find amusing. Kid sizes are available.

The Starry Flight of Serenity tee design is for the Browncoats that enjoy the art of Vincent van Gogh.

The concept is a fitting mash up as Serenity belongs in the sky and the Starry Night sky is the perfect backdrop for the metal leaf in the wind. This is one of the best Starry Night parodies and mashups out there flooding the interwebs. And that is saying quite a bit beings of how there are too numerous to count and the number is growing exponentially everyday. The original painting (shown below) is almost as recognizable as the Mona Lisa.

As for the artwork, the style is emulating Vincent van Gogh's obviously with the broad stroke swirls and colors from the moon and stars, but the reimagined Firefly is all girardin27. The what I would call "afterburners" are the artistic pièce de ré·sis·tance of the shirt as it blends in nicely to the motif. Seamlessly in fact.

This Starry Flight of Serenity tee will make a nice gift for the Firefly fans that long to the soar the skies. Unfortunately, at the moment of writing this there are no kid sizes available.

The Musical Sunset tee design is for the people that like music and nature or life in general as this has lots of it. Especially guitar players since that is half of the given theme.

The concept of this tee is creative to say the least. The treeline and cityscape at sunset are reflected in the water creating the shape of a guitar. This design has soul and was obviously planned out with passion to get the right shapes in the right areas.

As for the artwork, Nice use of warm colors and silhouettes. There are lots of intricate details. Like an animal (deer?), a Ferris wheel, hot air balloons and more. It is well balanced. So much so that it is almost perfectly symmetrical. The reflections are slightly blurred making it more realistic which is a good thing.

This Musical Sunset tee will make a nice gift for the artsy and nature loving types. This is a tee for the musicians and even the hippies. It is for everyone. Even the deaf who don't get to enjoy music can get a small sense of music and sound when looking at the full scene. This is actual art and not just rehashed pop culture icons like most of the tees in the world and this site.

This is a good casual shirt that fits in everywhere. It should even be acceptable as a school tee.

The composition of a Wolf and Moon or a Wolf and Sun isn't that original nor is the concept itself, but it does look badass. The lighting from behind gives it an almost halo type of effect. But it is the wolf's cold hard stare that makes this tee.

Compared to the other wolf tees out there nothing else even comes close to the ones from The Mountain. Their imagery is much larger and sharper. That definitely makes them the place to shop for animal lovers.

Just A Little Paint Tee tee design is for the people that aspire to be something or someone different.

Drawn in the cute cartoon style that tjost is known for consisting of nice shading and highlights. This polar bear just wants to fit in with the pandas. Which requires a lot of effort and paint. At closer inspection, the second panda is disconcerted. It taps the shoulder of the oblivious first panda as the polar bear is infiltrating their turf. The pandas just want to eat bamboo because that is all pandas do. Seriously, look it up. Lazy bastards.

While this tee is cute, it is best not to think too much about the intentions of a design. As one could argue that this is pro-conformity or perhaps showing and poking fun at an identity crisis. But let's just assume that the polar bear just wants to make some new friends or more likely wanting to try some bamboo.

The Just A Little Paint artwork is available on children's apparel which is probably the targeted audience. It will make a good school tee.

Wear this tee anywhere and everywhere with a casual setting such as Panda Express, zoos, coffee shops and Chinatown.

The Mystic Ocean tee is for people that like skulls and possibly have thalassophobia.

The ocean is a deadly and scary place. Sure we've all seen some breathe taking underwater scenery shot by scuba divers but drowning, being eaten, stung, or crushed by pressure are some crappy ways to die. That is just a few of the ways that things can go wrong in the ocean.

This artwork by Ben Chen is a monochromatic piece that shows what looks peaceful far away is full of life threatening dangers around every turn. The scene itself is enclosed inside the skull shape with the skull features such as the eye sockets and nose being formed by the marine life that is swimming around inside the skull. Sharks, Sting Ways, a school of fish, a tortoise and some kelp.

The Mystic Ocean design is ideal for wearing to aquariums and the beach.
